A Junior School Council operates under the guidance of a class teacher. It is a representative body of children from grades 3 to 6 and meets on a regular basis. Its major aim is to involve students in school decision making. Some wonderful elementary learning on leadership is occurring through this initiative. The students also organise fundraisers for the school.
The following students as our student representatives for the 2019 school year. These children were elected by their peers and have taken on roles in our Junior School Council. We are looking forward to a successful year in 2019.
The students have a very important role to play as representatives of the student body. JSC members are expected to uphold and demonstrate our school values of: ‘Personal Best’, ‘Respect’, and ‘Care’ at all times. The JSC members are the voice of the students and will put forth ideas to improve the school through fundraising and activities that bring the school community together.
Our Junior School Council should be commended on another amazing fundraising choice in supporting ’Bandanna’ Day with all proceeds going to CanTeen. CanTeen’s Bandanna Day is on next Friday 25th October, and we have joined the team to support young people around Australia. Our fundraising is helping to provide young people with the specialist care they need to make it through their cancer experience. Thank to all families for their support.
We are encouraging everyone to wear their Bandanna on Friday 25th October
