Secondary School Transition
Students who are currently in Grade Six will next year begin their secondary school education. In early Term Two primary schools generally begin the process for this transition with the distribution of Transition Packs to the parents/carers of Grade Six students. The Department of Education and Training has provided further information for parents/carers here.
The Year Six to Year Seven Transition Information Pack 2027 includes the Application for Year Seven Placement 2027 form, this form needs to be returned to the school office by Friday May 8th 2026.
Parents/Carers will receive their child's Year Seven placement notification for 2027 school year on Wednesday June 16th 2026. The Year 7 Placement Acceptance Slip will be included and if relevant an Appeal form. The Year 7 Placement Acceptance Slip needs to be returned to California Gully Primary School office no later than Tuesday August 11th 2026.
